NEW EBSD testing stages

Deben launch their new EBSD tensile and compression stages

Deben has formally released two high load versions of their EBSD stages with high temperature options; the MT2000EH and MT5000EH. With up to 2kN and 5kN load cell capability and up to 1000^oC temperature, new material characteristics can be tested with accuracy, stability and repeatability.

The identification of slip bands, strain marks, deformations, dislocations and crystalline defects are now possible within your SEM under varying test conditions, allowing characterisation of sample microstructure in real-time. Whether you wish to run room temperature experiments with the MT2000ER or MT5000ER version, or achieve high temperature compression and tensile testing with the MT2000EH or MT5000EH, Deben have an EBSD stage for you – fully optimised for both Horizontal SEM Imaging and EBSD.

With force resolution less than 0.003% FS, the 5kN EBSD stage from Deben offers dual motor control, user exchangeable loadcells and jaws, and options for bending jaws and compression cage.

The newly developed ‘Deben Test Suite’ software also allows full control of your stage and data, and is designed with ease-of-use in mind no matter what EBSD detector or SEM you use.

Deben’s in-house design and manufacturing teams also allow bespoke and custom made designs and alterations, in case any of the standard designs don’t quite meet your needs.
