The Deben ballistic bullet comparison stage is a sub-stage designed for use with SEMs and optical microscopes.

The stage is designed to accept the most common bullets and cartridge cases and allows two samples to be mounted side by side for detailed comparison. Each sample can be independently rotated through 360 degrees and their relative heights adjusted.

Comparisons can be made by image comparison techniques after which the results can be archived for subsequent recall for future inspection and comparisons of further evidence.
