Biaxial Tensile stage for textiles & polymers

Deben can supply a range of different stages for Bi-axial tensile testing. Whatever your requirements Deben have a solution for your application, we have a standard 5KN stage and can manufacture other custom systems with different forces up to 100KN.

Description – Biaxial testing stage

The Deben bi-axial tensile stage can be used for bi-axially stretching sheet material such as textiles, including leather, and also various polymers.

This tensile stage allows engineers and scientists to study the effects of bi-axial force upon various materials. The system may also be used as a uniaxial tensile stage if so required.

Sample size is pre-set to 150mmx150mm. Five quick release sample clamps are positioned along each side of the stage, these clamps will accept material between 0.1 and 2mm thick (special clamps can be provided for different thickness ranges).

A maximum force of 5KN (500Kg/1100Lb) may be applied independently to each axis. Speed is adjustable between 2mm and 50mm per minute (for different applications the speed may be increased or decreased).
